✦Ⅲ. Fire Pump System for HOWO TX Fire Truck:

This is the true "heart" of the fire truck. The entire system consists of: engine → transmission → PTO (Power Take-Off) → driveshaft → CB10/40 XZ fire pump. The engine not only drives the vehicle but also diverts power via the PTO to specifically power the fire pump, pressurizing and outputting water for firefighting. Simultaneously, the HOWO light fire truck can also mix foam media for emergency rescue in special fire situations.

The CB10/80-XZ fire pump is a high-performance, vehicle-mounted unit designed specifically for fire trucks. It offers a maximum operating pressure of 1.3 MPa and a rated flow capacity ranging from 40 L/s to 80 L/s reaching up to 80 L/s in high-flow mode making it ideal for sustained water supply at large-scale fire scenes. With a maximum suction depth of 7 meters and a self-priming time of 10 seconds or less, the pump ensures a rapid response during emergency startups, quickly establishing a water supply line to seize the critical window for firefighting. It features a dual-inlet design, allowing for simultaneous water intake from two separate sources,this enhances supply efficiency and ensures stable water extraction even in complex environments, such as from ponds or ditches in remote areas.

✅ Power Matching Verification: The output speed of the PTO (Power Take-Off) must match the rated speed of the CB10/80 XZ pump.The power margin should be reserved to avoid insufficient power and the pump failing to reach its rated pressure under full load.

✅ Driveshaft Coaxial Alignment: The three driveshafts (gearbox PTO, PTO fire pump) must be coaxial. Misalignment will cause vibration, rapidly wear down the driveshaft bearings and the pump's mechanical seal, leading to leaks and abnormal noises.

✅ Sealing Surface Installation Specifications: Clean the old gaskets and impurities from the PTO-gearbox mating surfaces and the pump body flange surfaces. Apply sealant evenly and use brand-new sealing paper gaskets. Do not reuse old gaskets to prevent air intake and oil leakage.

✅ Piping Layout: Keep the suction pipe as short as possible with minimal bends. Excessive bends in the pipe will increase suction resistance and directly reduce water intake capacity. All flange connections must be equipped with complete rubber sealing rings.

✅ Electrical wiring: The circuits of the double piston priming device, pressure switch, and residual water switch must be reliably grounded. The residual water switch function must be properly connected and dry-run protection must be provided to prevent the pump from running dry and burning the seals.

The foam proportioning device mixes foam concentrate with water at a preset ratio. Using the pressure differential principle, it draws foam liquid from the foam tank and blends it evenly into the water stream. The mixed foam solution is then delivered to the fire pump and fire monitor for fire suppression.
